Drawing smooth and cusp points

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to draw a smooth point using the pen tool, and I'll also show you how to create a variation on a corner point known as a cusp. Let's start things off by drawing a path outline around this tiny little bit of ear over here on the right hand side of the face. I want to create these ears in a separate path object here inside the Paths Panel, and one way to do that is to click in this empty area at the bottom of the Paths Panel to turn off the face layer, and then just start drawing a new path outline. Or, if you want to name the path as you create it, then drop down to this little page icon at the bottom of the Path Panel, and Alt or Option + click on it to force the display of the new path dialogue box. I'll go ahead and call this path ears and click OK. Alright, now as you may recall, if you click with the pen, then you're going to create a corner point with no control handles.
