Duplicating Smart Objects

- [Instructor] There are many situations when you might want to create multiple duplicates of the same layer within a document. In this example, we're going to quickly create four versions of the photograph, one in color and other in black and white. One that's a vintage look and one that's partially hand colored. Once we set up the template, it's going to be easy to edit the contents or replace all instances of the photo for different clients. In the properties panel if your guides are not showing, you can click on this icon to show and hide the guides and then I'll use the file menu and choose place embedded. I'll navigate to the boosting productivity folder and then double click on portrait_01 in order to place it. I'll tap return or Enter in order to commit to that placement. And then using the move tool, reposition it over to the left side. We can see in the layers panel that Photoshop has placed this as a smart…
