- [Instructor] Now let's talk about editing for story. When you're selecting your images you should keep in the back of your mind who are they for? Will this image be used in an ad for a botanical garden so it should be realistic? Is it for a skincare product, so you should emphasize purity? Is it for a nursery? To inspire people to spend money? Do you have free reign cause you're doing an image for photo stock? Are you trying to establish a uniform look so that the pictures hold together as a series? Or do you want to establish an exotic feel to promote travel to a tropical destination? The next thing you want to do is consider, what story do you want to tell with your image? What draws you in? And then make your edits to emphasize that. Let's take a look at a couple of images here. With this passionflower, the colors are pretty neat but what really draws me in are the shapes.
