Editing the contents of a smart object

- [Man] In this movie, we'll add a rainbow behind the car, and along the way, I'll show you how to edit the contents of a smart object. I'll go ahead and switch over to our last seen version of the composition, and then, to create the rainbow, go up to the layer menu, choose new fill layer, and choose gradient. Then, here inside the new layer dialog box, I'll go ahead and name this layer rainbow and click OK, and next, what you want to do is click on this down pointing arrow head next to the gradient ramp, and notice that Photoshop has thoughtfully provided a rainbow gradient for us. In this case, it goes by the name transparent rainbow, so assuming you're looking at the default gradients, it's the second item on the third row. All right, now I'll click outside that little pop up panel, and I'll change the angle value to negative 90 degrees. Everything else you can leave as is, so style should be linear, scale should be 100% and so forth. After which point, click OK in order to accept…
