Entering a custom zoom value

- [Instructor] In this movie I'll show you how to enter a custom zoom value, which is great for establishing a wide-centered view. Now, as I was saying, any time you first open an image, it's going to open at the nearest incremental zoom level that will allow you to take in the entire image at a time, which in the case of this image and this screen happens to be 16.7%. Let's say I want to zoom in a little farther but still take in the entire image. I could press control + 0, or command + 0 on the Mac, but Photoshop's pretty conservative. It goes ahead and retains a little bit of this gray pasteboard around the entire image. Let's say I don't want to see any of that pasteboard whatsoever. Well, I can drop down to this value in the lower-left corner of the window. And notice that it's telling me the exact zoom ratio, which happens to be 19.69%. If I double-click on that value to select it, then I can enter a different value, such as, let's say, 20%, and then press the enter key, or the…
