Exporting vector-based layers as SVG

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to export vector-based layers as an SVG file, and SVG stands for scalable vector graphics, by the way. And so, notice what's going on here inside the layers panel. Down here at the very bottom, we have a flat background, and above that, we have a pixel-based layer called yard that's enclosed inside a vector-based layer mask, and then we have a couple of vector-based shape layers with a layer of vector-based type. Now, we haven't gotten to vector-based layers yet. We will in future chapters, but for now, just know that you can draw vector-based layers using the shape tools, which are located down here, near the bottom of the vertical toolbox. All right, now, the great thing about SVG is it allows you to save scalable artwork for the web. The downside is that Photoshop support is a little bit sketchy, and if I were being charitable, I'd say it's in a kind of state of development. But…
