Exporting vector-based layers as SVG

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to export vector base layers as an SVG file. And SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics by the way. And so notice what's going on here inside the Layers panel. Down here, at the very bottom, we have a flat background. And above that we have a pixel based layer called yard that's enclosed inside of vector base layer mask. And then we have a couple of vector base shape layers with a layer of vector base type. Now, we haven't gotten the vector base layers yet, we will in future chapters. But for now, just know that you can draw vector base layers using the shape tools, which are located down here near the bottom of the vertical toolbox. Alright, now the great thing about SVG is it allows you to save scalable artwork for the web. The downside is that Photoshop support is a little bit sketchy.
