Exposure and Contrast

- [Instructor] All right now we're going to dig into cameras brightness controls, specifically exposure and contrast. And we'll see their effect on the full color histogram. And so here I am still inside Bridge. I'll go ahead and select this photograph and press the space bar in order to enter the full screen mode. And we've got ourselves a pretty otherworldly composition. However, to my eyes anyway, it looks a little bit murky, and we have some very predominant shadows, which is why I want to boost the brightness and decrease the contrast. So I'll go ahead and press the Escape key. Notice we have a RAW DNG file. And so if I were to double click on the thumbnail, it's going to open automatically inside camera. However, by default hosted in Photoshop, I want to stay inside Bridge. So I'll right click on the thumbnail and choose Open in Camera Raw, or you have that keyboard shortcut of Ctrl + R here and a PC or Command +…
