Extend the background detail

- [Voiceover] For this portrait collage one of the first things we need to address is adding some detail to the background scene, which will be created by the two full-length shots of the girl. We'll do this by creating non-destructive retouching layers and adding detail to the center area between the two photos. Once the center image is placed over them we're not gonna see all this retouched area, but it will be just enough to extend the background between the two full-length portraits. So the first thing I'm gonna do is choose command r on a Mac or control r on Windows to show my rulers and I'm gonna drag out a couple of guides to the edges of the center portrait. So I'll just come over here to the vertical ruler on the left and click and drag out a guide and just snap that to the left edge of the portrait and I'll come and click in that ruler again and drag out yet another guide. So the reason I'm doing this is that once I start the retouching I'm not really gonna be seeing this…
