Filling in the holes: Content Aware Move

One tool that I like to use is the Content-Aware Move tool. It's usually used to move something from one part of the photograph to the other, effectively erasing it, filling in the hole, and then blending it somewhere else. And I'll show it to you. But it can also be used to extend the edges quite effectively. Let's go here to our original layer for a moment, and I'll take the Content-Aware Move tool. There it is. And effectively, you just need a selection. Let's go over to Channels and we'll cmd or ctrl-click to load the object, and then go back to the layer here. On this layer, if I now drag this, you'll notice that it allows me to move the object, and even adjust its scale or position. When I click the return button, or enter, it's going to erase it. Now in this case, I told it to extend. That made a copy. Let's undo for a moment, and instead of extending, we'll tell it to move. Now when I drag, and I adjust…
