- OK, let's talk about finalizing this image. We got it pretty far, we got the lions looking in the right direction, but there's a few things I wanna do with it that require some pretty unusual techniques, and the first thing that I'm thinking is I probably am ready to flatten this file. I don't need it to be multi-layered, I'm not gonna need those two pieces any more, but it's really important to version off a file, at a certain point, especially once you've put some time into it. So, when it comes to saving, I would often think about Saving As, and I just wanna talk really briefly about the benefits to these different formats. A Photoshop document, or a PSD, is gonna give you the most flexibility, and it certainly supports layered documents. The only difference, with a PSB, is that this allows you to save a really, really, really large file. A couple of other file formats to know about, a Photoshop PDF will also support layers, and it's gonna allow you to pass this file to someone…
