Finessing a crop with Canvas Size

- In this movie, I'll show you how to precisely finesse a crop boundary using the canvas size command which allows you to adjust the size of the four walls of the canvas independently of any layers. All right. So we're currently looking at the flat original version of the photograph at which point I'll go ahead and switch to the crop tool, which you can get by pressing the C key. And then I'll zoom out a little bit here and I'll go ahead and drag this edge down so I can keep track of what's going on as I drag outside the crop boundary like so. And by the way, things are going to look a little jagged when you're rotating in image. And that's because we're currently looking at a preview it might get a little more smooth if you zoom in. But what I'm going to do is drag this guy a little too high. Notice that I'm exposing this wedge right here and I'm also going to drag it a little too low. Now I don't want to overemphasize…
