- [Voiceover] In this movie, we're going to take this hair with its ragged edges and inconsistent colors and we're going to turn it into the splendid effect that you see before you now. And we're also going to take care of that thick green edge along the right hand shoulder. Alright I'll go ahead and zoom out from the image a little bit and scroll up to the hair. And in order to understand how to fix the hair, you have to understand where these problems come from. And the answer is the background. If I Shift click on this layer mask, you can see the shock of red up here at the top of the image as well as all these browns across the top of the woman's head. And these colors end up informing these thin tendrils of hair, which sometimes don't measure to be even a single pixel wide. For example, notice this hair right there. Even though it is two to three pixels wide, depending on where you measure it, you can see that the colors vary dramatically from one pixel to the next. So what we…
