Further refining with Refine Mask
- [Instructor] Alright, now just as with the selected mask command, you can apply refine edge multiple times in order to get increasingly better results. The difference is when you apply refine edge to an existing layer mask, it goes by a different name and that is refine mask. So lets say I wanna make the hair look a little better because if I zoom in to here, you can see that its a little bit choppy, its not as bad as what we saw after the first pass of the selected mask command. However its not altogether great either. And so what I'm gonna do is press and hold the shift key, go up to the select menu and choose select and mask. Notice this time however the trick didn't work. We're back in the select and mask workspace just like always and that's because I had the wrong thing selected. So I'm gonna go ahead and cancel out here. Notice that the image suddenly is selected. You need to either have a selection place or you need to switch to the layer mask by clicking on this thumbnail…
