Giving your painting texture with Emboss

- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to take that pointillism effect, and we're going to place highlights and shadows around each and every dot of paint, in order to lend your painting the appearance of texture. And we'll be doing so using the emboss filter. So, first thing you want to do is make sure your photo layer is selected here inside the layers panel. And then go up to the filter menu, choose stylize and choose emboss. And for those of you who loaded my d keys, you'll notice that I've given you a shortcut of shift+alt+F5 or shift+option+F5 on a Mac. The idea that all of the sharpening filters, which is the group that emboss falls into, have some sort of F5 variation. In any case, I'll go ahead and choose that command, and then I'll modify these values to taste. I'll go ahead and drag this angle option around here until I get an angle value of negative 135 degrees. Then I'll tape the height value and take it down to two pixels, and then I'll crank the amount value up to…
