Gradient tool

- [Narrator] If we click and hold the icon of the paint bucket tool in the tool bar, we reveal another very helpful tool and that's the gradient tool. With the gradient tool we can apply a smooth color gradient to our digital canvas. A color gradient has a start point and end point. And we define the start point by clicking and holding on our digital canvas. If we then move our cursor. We drag out this rubber band here and where we release it, the endpoint of our gradient is defined. Now we have a smooth color gradient between our foreground color and our background color. We have different options up here in the options bar for what colors should be used for our gradient. So the first option is the foreground to background color gradient. But we can also use the foreground to transparent option. We now choose a new color. We can create a gradient that uses our foreground color and then fades to transparency. Then there's a whole bunch of predefined gradients that we can choose here…
