Head swap in Photoshop

- Every photographer knows, the more people you have in a group shot, the more chance there is for a funny expression. There were so many people in this portrait that I knew I'd probably have to do a head or a body swap. So I sat my camera on a tripod to make it easier. And sure enough, the photo they picked had a blink. So here's how to fix it. Find a photo that is similar to the one with a blink. In Lightroom, make sure the tone and color of both images match. Then open them both as layers in Photoshop. Make sure you're on the layer where the man has his eyes open. Activate the marquee tool, draw around him and type Command-J to add the selection as a layer. Now move that layer to the top of the stack. And now you can trash the one where we took his smiling face from. You can see that his head is bigger in the one that we want to put into this photo. So we'll fix that with a transformation tool.
