Hiding, moving, and dismissing guides
- All right, I'm going to to wrap things up by showing you how to hide and dismiss guide lines inside Photoshop. Now guidelines are saved attributes of a file. But let's say you want to get a better sense of your composition without all these guide lines on screen. Then you can go up to the view menu and turn off the extras command. And notice that it has a keyboard shortcut of Control + H, for hide. That's command + H on the Mac. If this is the first time you're pressing that keyboard shortcut on the Mac, you may get an alert message asking you if you want to hide the extras, or you want to hide Photoshop. In any event, notice when I choose that command, I hide the guide lines. If I want to bring 'em back, all I have to do is press that same keyboard shortcut, Control + H here in the PC, or Command + H on the Mac. Now, extras means a lot of things inside Photoshop.
