Highlights, Shadows, Whites, and Blacks

- [Narrator] Now we'll see how you have specific and distinct control over your highlights, and shadows as well as your whites and blacks. Now you already know the difference between highlights and shadows, whites are ultra highlights, and blacks are ultra shadows. Now notice I've gone ahead and saved my changes as a different image, and let me show you how that works. I'm going to click on this new guy, Modified exposure, and shift click on Goblin Valley. And then I'll just press Control + R, or Command + R on the Mac, to open the images in Camera Raw. And so what I did was, I took my modifications from the previous movie, and then I clicked on this button in the bottom left corner of the screen, "Save Image." And that allows you to save that image under a different name, as we're seeing right here. You can even choose a different format, so you can save it to JPEG, TIFF, Photoshop, or PNG, the big five right there.…
