Highlights, shadows, whites, and blacks

- [Instructor] Now, we'll see how you have specific and distinct control over your highlights and shadows, as well as a couple of new terms, your whites and your blacks. Now, you already know the difference between highlights and shadows. Whites are ultra highlights and blacks are ultra shadows. And so I'm going to go ahead and select a couple of images this time, the original version of the image from the beginning of the previous movie, and then I'll control or command click on this thumbnail in order to select the modified version of the image as well. Then I'll right click on either thumbnail and choose open in Camera Raw or you can just press control R or command R on the Mac. Now we'll be working on a modified version of the image and so you can see our exposure and contrast values followed by highlights, shadows, whites, and blacks.
