- [Instructor] Now that you understand the meaning of saturation, I want to introduce you to a very popular saturation adjustment function known as Vibrance. Now, Vibrance comes to us from Camera Raw, so it's available inside Photoshop and its plugin, and you can apply it as a static adjustment by going up to the Image menu, dropping down to Adjustments and then choosing Vibrance, or you can apply it as a nondestructive adjustment layer. Now vibrance offers just two slider bars, one's called vibrance, the other's called saturation, and they both operate on the saturation values inside of an image, so they don't affect the hue value at all. And if they occasionally affect the brightness value, it's just by accident. Now, one of my big goals in this course was to get to the bottom of how the vibrance and saturation values work, because oftentimes the explanations are a little bit fuzzy or just plain inaccurate.
