How can I back up my raw files?

- If you work with RAW files in Adobe, it's quite easy to lose all of your adjustments. Let me show you a couple of techniques to store these. First up, let's say you've made some adjustments to an image. What you can easily do is under the snapshot settings here, store a snapshot. Each of these becomes a choice. So for example, let's lock that in and we'll open that up a little bit, and store it as a snapshot. Each of these has been stored inside the settings for the file. Now when you click done, those settings are written next to the file. You'll notice that here, we have the RAW file and here, we have the XMP metadata file. It's really important that these two files stay together. This is the source, this is the instructions. But having these sidecar files can be a bit problematic. They're easy to lose because, well, they're small files, and it's twice as much information as you'd pay attention to. If you…
