How color works on the web

- [Deke] In this movie, I'll show you how color works on the web, and how much more limited it is than color inside Photoshop. Now, as you're probably aware, all of your web images should be RGB, that is to say red green blue, just as they are when they're captured by a digital camera or a scanner. So that much is safe. So in other words, there's a not a lot you need to worry about where the basic color model is concerned. However, there are different varieties of RGB out there, and to see what I'm talking about I want you to go up to the Edit menu and choose the Color Settings command, which is the one with the keyboard shortcut of Control + Shift + K or Command + Shift + K on the Mac. Now by default, at least here in the States, this Settings option in the top-left corner of the dialog box is set to North America General Purpose 2.
