How color works on the web

- In this movie, I'll demonstrate how color works on the web. Which is much more limited than the way color works inside Photoshop. So, for the sake of demonstration, Let's say I'm going to create an image that I can post to the social media site Facebook. Because this is mostly a continuous tone photograph The best file format is going to be jpeg. So, it might be tempting to go up to the File menu and choose the Save As command, and then change the file format to jpeg. Now notice that we have this warning button. If you click on it, then Photoshop tells you that the current file format jpeg must be saved as a copy because it will not save all the document layers, in fact, it won't save any of the layers. It's just going to merge all these layers in to a flat image, nothing you can do about it. So just click OK and sure enough, the As A Copy checkbox is turned on. That's not a problem, but this checkbox is. Notice that it says ICC Profile, and it's listed as Adobe RGB. Now, Adobe RGB…
