How do I add a vignette?
- Sometimes as you work with a photo, you might choose to add a vignette. This can selectively darken or lighten part of an image. Let me show you how. In this first example, we have a raw file. And one of the things you can do is choose to crop to a targeted size. So choose the resolution or shape that you want, and make the basic crop. In this case I've got a five by seven. Now if you go to the Effects Tab, you'll see the ability for post-crop vignetting. This will recognize the crop and allow you to lighten or darken the edges based upon the new crop that you've applied inside of camera raw. This will allow you to adjust the overall blending point there. You can see the midpoint for the clear zone as well as the roundness and the feather or transition.
