How do I make an image pop?
- You just learned how to use Clarity to add selective depth or detail. Let's revisit this technique and really help an image that's low contrast pop and stand out. In this case, we've opened up a RAW file and you see there's quite a bit of information missing here. Always take advantage of Auto to optimize things and then start to work your mid-tones getting them right towards the center. Then you can take advantage of Clarity to start to bring out the definition of those mid-tones. You see now that our lizard is really coming through. A little bit of texture here too and we start to get some great separation. Now that I've got the tonality right, it's all about color. I'll switch over to HSL and target different areas. For example by pulling down the green and the yellows here, I can get better separation on our subject. Let's go to Saturation and pump up the greens and the aquas and you see that our iguana here starts…
