How do I maximize the quality of my raw file?

- When you open up a RAW file, there are a few extra options you can use to ensure you get the best results inside of Photoshop. One of these is relatively new. Right click on your RAW file and choose Enhance Details. What's going to happen is it will scan through the file and attempt an alternative method of demosaicing the data. This'll try to enhance the detail and bring things out a little bit. When you click Enhance, a new DNG file is created. Additionally, on these files, whether you used the enhanced option or not, make sure you click on the bottom here for Workflow. This brings up a new dialog. I always suggest that you open this up using either the Adobe RGB or the ProPhoto color space so that you have a wider color range. Also, always go with 16 bits per channel so you can accurately represent the color in the image. When that's ready, just click the option here to open in Photoshop as a smart object. Now…
