Hunting down seams with the Offset filter

- [Instructor] Alright our next project is to take the New York City skyline and wrap it around itself to create this industrious little planet. And the first step is to use the offset filter to essentially make New York City repeat endlessly so that we can wrap it around Jupiter without seeing any seams. Alright, so I'll go ahead and switch back to the skyline image, we need to convert it to a smart object by first converting the background to an independent layer which you can do by double-clicking the background here inside the layers panel. If you loaded D keys, you also have that shortcut of Ctrl + Shift + Alt + N here on a PC, or Command + Shift + Option + N on the Mac. I'm going to go ahead and name this layer after the filter we'll be using on it which is offset and then I'll click Ok.
