Immersing an image in its new environment
- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to absolutely immerse this guy in his new environment to create a kind of blend between Minority Report and E.T. All right so, the first step is to expand this swirling variables group, and if I were to Alt or Option + click on the i in front of this group, you would see that it's made up of a total of three layers. We have this faux chalkboard effect in the background with a slanted number set to the screen blend mode, and then finally, we have these additional algebraic equations sitting on top. I'm going to grab this top layer, and by the way, each of these layers is named after its library number at the dreams time image library, but I'm going to grab this guy by Alt or Option dragging it to the top of the stack, and because I have the Alt or Option key down, I'm seeing a double arrow icon, which indicates that I'm going to duplicate the layer like so. Now, I'll go ahead and turn these other layers back on and I'll twirl close that group…
