- [Instructor] All right now when everything's said and done we need the pixels inside the jacket to be absolutely white and we need everything outside the jacket to be black as in the case of this final version of the mask. So our next step is to increase the contrast of this alpha channel. The easiest way to pull that off is using the levels command. I'll also show you how to confirm that you're working with absolutely white or black pixels using the magic wand tool. All right now as you build your mask it's important to bear in mind that every single change you make is a destructive modification, meaning that you are permanently altering pixels inside that alpha channel, which is why I find it helpful to create a kinda bread crumb trail by creating a new alpha channel for each and every significant operation.
