- [Instructor] All right, so over the course of this chapter, we're gonna take this photograph for the Dreamstime image library, and we are going to extract from it this intricate and highly accurate mask, in order to create this crazy blizzard of a composition. And we are gonna do all of our masking using this command right here, the calculations command under the image menu. Now, if this is your first time encountering this dialog box, it can be a little daunting. It dates back to the very early days before layers. Back when Photoshop wasn't necessarily very interested in being the warm and cuddly giant it is today. But things become easier if you understand that you have one channel up here that you're merging with another channel. So source one with source two. Using this blend mode and this opacity value.
