Introducing the Channel Mixer

- [Narrator] In this movie, I'll show you how to use a channel mixer adjustment layer to blend your own custom black and white image. And the channel mixer is just what it sounds like. It allows you to mix various amounts of the red, green, and blue channels in order to create a monochromatic image. Now, the first thing we're going to do is bring up the histogram panel, because that way, we can keep track of what we're doing a little better, by going to the window menu and choosing the histogram command. And for me, the panel's over here, underneath the color panel. Notice that I'm looking at the expanded view, and I'm going to go ahead and switch the channel option here to RGB, because that's going to make the histogram a lot easier to see, especially after we assign channel mixer. Now, just to make sure that the histogram is more or less accurate, I'll click on this little caution icon and you can see that it's very possible we have a little bit of clipping going on inside this…
