Introducing the Curves adjustment

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll introduce you to the curves adjustment. And the idea is this. The levels command gives you three points of control. You have a black point, you have a white point, and you have a gamma value in between. Most of the time, that's going to be sufficient. Well, when it's not, you may want to turn to the curves command, which gives you as many points of control as you like. So you once again have a black point and a white point, but otherwise, you effectively have as many gammas as you like. In return, you get a much more complicated feature. Now, I'll be honest, I don't regularly turn to the curves command, but I do want to show it to you because you may find it useful. So here I am looking at another image from the Fotolia Image Library. It's a great photograph, but it's got some really strange colors going on, and we also have some blown highlights in the upper-left corner, we've got some shadows that need some additional heft, and I might try to…
