Introducing artboards
- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll introduce you to artboards, which is the closest Photoshop comes to allowing you to create a multipage document inside of a single file. And while you can do exactly that, if you like, as we'll see in a future movie, that's not really their purpose. The intention of artboards is to allow you to create multiple design variations that are bound for different devices, such as phones and tablets. Now at this point, we're seeing three artboards out here inside the image window, but for all intents and purposes, artboards really exist here inside the Layers panel. So let's say I want to change the name of artboard 1. I wouldn't double-click on its name here inside the image window, instead I would double-click on its name in the Layers panel, at which point, I'll go ahead and call this guy original size because it represents the original size of this particular composition.
