Inverting a layer mask
- [Commentator] All right, now we're going to mask the screws. And, we're going to do so, using this guy, right here. The brush tool. Because, by default, the brush tool has a round tip. And, along the way, I'll show you how to invert a layer mask, because, at least where this layer's concerned, it happens to be the best approach. So, the first thing I'm going to do, is make sure the screw's layer is active. And then, I'll drop down to the add layer mask icon, down here at the bottom of the layers panel, and click on it. And because nothing is selected, the entire layer mask is white. Meaning that it's not hiding anything. All right, now, I'll go ahead and switch to the brush tool, which you can get by pressing the "b" key, and then you want to right click inside the image window, and crank the hardness up to 100%. And then, I'll take the size value, let's say, up to 60 pixels, and then I'll compare it to this screw…
