Layer blend modes
- [Instructor] You'll notice that this illustration has many different layers and each of the different objects are on a different layer, so I've got her head on a layer and I've got this fur on a layer and the reason for separating that, one is because it's easier to make selections and the other is so that we can benefit from layer blend modes. What is a layer blend mode, you ask? Well, layer blend mode is a way of having the layers interact with each other in a different way. The default mode is normal and you can see that up here. I'm in this illustration layer. In this particular layer, let me turn the eye, you can see it's just a black illustration on a white layer. So, I'm going to turn everything else back on. But you'll notice that I've got a bunch of other stuff underneath it that we can't see because the white is blocking it. Well, there's a layer blend mode for that.
