Learn to retouch skin quickly and efficiently

- [Natalie] Skin is one of the keys to compelling portraits. Learning how to retouch it quickly is essential. Lightroom and Photoshop offer many ways to do this. But which ones do you use? I'm Natalie Fobes. In my photography business, I've used Photoshop forever and Lightroom for almost as long. By working on real world photographs, I've had to figure out what works and what doesn't. What can be done quickly in Lightroom and what needs more time in Photoshop. As a working photographer, I can't afford to spend a lot of time in front of the computer, retouching my photos. Most of the techniques I share in this course take only a few minutes. And in Lightroom, I'll show you how to save more time by applying the adjustments made to one photo to the rest in the series. This course features some of my favorite techniques for fixing or improving portraits. After setting up the preferences in both programs, we'll see how lighting affects the skin texture. Then we'll move on to the importance of skin color and the many ways to correct it in both Lightroom and Photoshop. Next, we'll go over how to enhance features and disguise distractions. And then finish with how to give someone a makeup makeover in Lightroom. Whether you select a chapter that helps with a specific retouching challenge, or you watch it from start to finish, please join me for my LinkedIn learning course Retouching Skin with Lightroom and Photoshop.
