- Now, I know you want to get going and start making stuff. I mean, come on, Photoshop is immensely complex and powerful, but seriously no one has the time or patience just to sit there and learn, ponderously painfully learn. Okay, understood. But even, so I'm going to take one chapter to help you get your bearings. It's like when you buy a new car, you want to start driving it. But please let me take one chapter to show you around the car. We'll start by magnifying the image. It's kind of like driving toward the pixels or driving away. Then we'll get the lay of the land by scrolling around and then switching between open images and screen modes. And we'll roam around Photoshop's neighborhoods, which are known as panels.
