- [Instructor] Even though light is something that almost everyone and everything on the planet uses on a daily basis, I think it would be fair to say that more than a few of us are at least somewhat in the dark when it comes to understanding just what light is and how it actually works. Of course, getting to grips with the physical intricacies of light isn't essential in order for us to become a skilled user of the lighting tools in V-Ray Next, but being able to understand at least the basics of it will most definitely help, and by quite a bit, simply because most of what we learn can then be transferred over to working with the tools in V-Ray, or indeed any other GI-based render engine that we choose to work with.
