Localized color clusters

- [Instructor] In this movie I'll show you how to work with this option right here, localized color clusters, as well as how you go about saving and loading your selection settings here inside the color range dialog box. Now let's say I go ahead and click right at this point near the upper left corner of the composition, and because my selection preview is set to gray scale I'm seeing a black and white depiction of that selection both inside the dialog box and out. Now if I had clicked at that location with the magic wand tool then I might or might not have jumped the gap depending on the setting of that contiguous checkbox. Color range doesn't really have a sense for adjacent pixels the way the magic wand tool does, however it will allow you to limit the range of your selection to the click point by turning on the localized color clusters checkbox.
