- [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to be talking about etiquette, as it pertains to taking underwater macro photographs. What we mean by this, is making sure that you respect not only your subjects, but also your fellow divers. We're going to start this discussion off, with what I feel to be one of the more important pieces of advice. And that is that no shot is worth it. And what we mean by that, is if the shot was captured at the expense of the animal, the environment, or at the expense of another diver having a bad dive, it's not worth it. So, in order to avoid this kind of situation, you never want to harass, or intentionally harm an animal, to evoke behavior. This is nature photography, let the nature be nature. Never move an animal to a more pleasing backdrop. We spend lots of time in this course, talking about making sure you have great backgrounds, but that does not mean that you should be picking up an animal and moving it to a better backdrop.
