Make a double exposure
- [Instructor] Here's a pretty simple way to make a trendy double exposure in Photoshop. This works best if you choose images that will blend well using a layer blending mode. Try a portrait with a light background like this one on the bottom layer and a scene or a texture on the top layer. Select the top layer, the scene, then go to the layer blending mode menu. As you hover over blending modes, you'll see their effect on the image. For this technique, the lightened blend mode or the screen blend mode work best. In the image, the scene now appears only whether our darker pixels on the portrait layer below. If you like this look, you can stop here, or you can bring back more of the portrait into your double exposure using a layer mask. Make sure the scene layer is still selected.
