Make it shine with the Chrome filter
- [Instructor] In this movie I'm going to look at the chrome filter, and I will use it to give this car a really shiny bumper. I'll start by going to the background layer, and converting it to a smart object. Right click to right of the layer name, and choose Convert to Smart Object. Come to the Filter menu, to Sketch, and over to Chrome. Your preview may look alarming, but don't panic. Let's just apply the default amount of the chrome filter. To set these values of detail and smoothness back to the default values, hold down Command or Control, the Cancel key will change to default, click on that and then we can go ahead and click OK. The key here is to change the blending mode of the filter. And we can do that by double clicking on the blending mode badge, and applying the filter in either the overlay or the soft light blending mode. For a stronger effect, use Overlay. Click OK.
