- [Tony] Hi, and welcome to design tools weekly with me, Tony Homo. What we're going to take a look at here is the relatively new pattern preview inside of Photoshop. It was actually introduced at max in October, 2020, and just kind of tucked away. What I've got here is just a letter document. So letter sized eight and half by 11. And what I'm going to do is just zoom out on that slightly. Not that that's particularly necessary, but just so you can see the document bounds. And then I'm going to go to the view menu and I'm going to choose pattern preview, just here in the middle. And what will happen is, first of all, I'll get a warning here or piece of advice, really, that says it works best with smart objects and transforming pixels may show unexpected results. However, you can actually draw with it. So what I'm going to do here is just make a really large selection, larger than the tile. And actually you can see there…
