Mask in RGB, copy to CMYK
- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you why you're generally better off masking in RGB and then copying your mask over to the CMYK image. Now you may well ask me, well what if the CMYK image is all I have? Well, then I'll show you a work-around. Alright, so here we are looking at an RGB version of the composition. And because I've had Photoshop set to show the channels in color, if I were to click on the red channel, you would see that the darkest color is black, and the brightest color is red. Once again, because we're starting with a black screen and we're lighting it up. And then we have the green channel in which the darkest color is black, and the brightest color is that very bright green. And then we've got the blue channel in which the darkest color is black, and the brightest color is this very deep blue. Alright, I'm gonna switch back to the RGB composite because we're trying to assess the channels based on how well they'll work as masks. We wanna turn that colorization…
