Masking a gradient layer
- [Instructor] All right, now at this point, my only concern with this image is that it didn't feel like there was enough definition between this guy's chin in the front of his face and the woman to the right of him. And so I decided to add a little bit of additional definition using a radial blur gradient. Once again, subject to a layer mask. All right, so the first thing I'm gonna do is go up to the layer menu, choose new fill layer, and then choose gradient. And that way, Photoshop brings up the new layer dialog box and I'll just go ahead and call this guy radial and click okay. All right, now notice that my gradient style is set to this second guy right here, which is four ground to transparent, which is a good place to start. I just want to change the base color from black to one of these shades of turquoise found in the background image. So I'll just go ahead and click on that gradient ramp to bring up the gradient editor dialog box. I'll double click on this first color stop…
