Merge to HDR Pro in Photoshop

- The Merge to HDR feature in Camera Raw, or Lightroom is a very convenient way to blend different exposures into a single shot with an expanded tonal range. Photoshop also has an HDR feature, called Merge to HDR Pro. It offers some additional functionality that's not found in Merge to HDR that you can access from Camera Raw or Lightroom. So, here in Adobe Bridge, I'm going to select the three RAW files for the boat yard image. So, I have the first one already selected, I'll hold down the Shift key and click on the last one, and I'm going to come up to the Tools menu, and choose Photoshop, Merge to HDR Pro. In the Merge to HDR Pro dialog we have a preview of the merged result. Down at the bottom we have thumbnails of the different exposures that are being used. You can remove an exposure from the mix if you feel you don't need all of them. That's really more relevant if you have more than three. Three is pretty…
