Opening a closed eye
- [Narrator] So far we've looked at how we can add some creative adjustments to the areas of the eye. What about those times where we need to make some corrections? Let's look at those next. With this photograph here with this little guy, one of his eyes is part the way closed and the other one is wide open. Is there some way to be able to fix that? Well definitely. What you can do is use one of your selection tools like the lasso tool, and just make a really rough selection of the eye which is good. So whenever you have something which is good in retouching, you can reuse that in a different place. And that's what we'll do here. We'll make a selection of that eye, then copy that to a new layer. Press Command J on a Mac, Control J on Windows. We'll name this new layer "eye". Well now, if we select the move tool or press the V key to choose that tool, you can see that we can click and drag this around.
