Organize layers with groups
- [Instructor] As you work through your designs, you'll start adding more layers to your Photoshop document. This can create clutter, and it can make it more difficult for you to work, so take the time to organize your layers as you work. Start by selecting the pattern fill layer and hold shift. Then click on the color fill layer to select both and press control-G on Windows, command-G on the Mac to put these layers into a group, and I'll call this group background. Another way of staying organized is by color-labeling your groups. You can apply a color label to a group or a layer by right-clicking on it and selecting a color. I'll select violet. Next select the ellipse, featured image, and lens flare by clicking on the bottom layer, then holding shift and clicking on the top one. Photoshop will select the middle layer automatically and again, press control-G on Windows, command-G on the Mac to place these layers into a…
