Organizing adjustment layers by grouping
- As you work with an image, you may find that the layers eventually get a little overwhelming. Fortunately, Photoshop gives you a way to combine layers into one layer, without permanently merging them or discarding any data, it's called a group. In this particular image, let's take a look. You see, we have our original photograph and a creative style was made, by applying three different adjustments. A gradient map to give it a bit of gritty color plus black and white for higher contrast and then a slight pop to the color. I could take those three adjustments and Shift click to select them. Now, I'll press Cmd or Ctrl + G or can choose layer, Group Layers. You see that, that's now combined into one new layer. If we double click on that, I can call that Gritty Look. Now, I'm free to add a whole new look, let's turn that one off. In this case, I'll apply a color-lookup table, this provides stylistic color and we'll…
